Winter Blues
Recently completed, Winter Blues, will be the last major work before I head off to Charleston for the SEWE show at the end of this week.
This piece was inspired by my trip home for the holidays. We had a huge snow storm. While watching the snow fall I was taken by the tree in my parents front yard. A tree I have known since childhood. This composition came to me quickly and with the addition of a couple of blue jays to give a lively focal point the idea was complete. All that was left was to render all that bark and all those twigs. Anyway I like it. It reminds me of home.

Hey Ray,
This is a truly lovely work! Spot on and very appealing. I bet you don’t leave Charleston with this one. Elegant, simple, just detailed enough to ‘draw’ interest, truly appealing on many levels. Best luck with it. See you next week.
Whoa, Ray. That is a stunning piece. Just WHOA!
Great piece Ray!
Thanks Terry and Dustin.
And thank you Brenda. It is great to hear from you.
