Session two – Rockin’ and Rollin’

Here is session 2 of the current drawing (still no title). I have worked down the stone wall on the left, choosing which rocks to leave in or out of the composition as compared to the reference. The rocks and the play of light on them help to move the viewers eye through the peice. I am being deliberate in how they are placed and the values the are attributed to them. The trick is to make the viewer think it is just a stone wall without any ulterior motives.
