Here are a couple of very small raven drawings. When I have a show looming on the horizon, as I do now with the Southeastern Wildlife Expo. I like to do a bunch of small works so I have several affordable options for those who may not be in a position to garner one of my larger works. These two Ravens are very small 2.5 inches by 1.5 inches. I found a couple of nice little frames and drew the pieces to fit.

Here is a little (4×6 inches) bison study completed recently. I did this mostly to tackle the fur texture on the head of the bison. I wanted to see if I could make the fur convincing enough while being so close to it. Meaning, I can not divert your attention from an unconvincing fur texture because the entire composition is the fur!

I am sorry for the lack of posts over the last few weeks. I have been on an extended holiday vacation visiting family and friends in both Baltimore and Puerto Rico. My family and I had a wonderful time but, I am glad to be home. I have a lot of work to do in preparation for the upcoming Southeastern Wildlife Expo in Charleston, SC. But first, I have a rather large commission to finish as the collectors have been patiently waiting while I was away from the drawing table.
I will post a couple of photos I took while in Baltimore before Christmas. We had the good fortune to be there during a 20 inch snowfall. I was able to get some wonderful reference of the snow which, I am sure, will creep into a couple of drawings in the near future. I was also able to squeeze out a couple of small works while in Puerto Rico which I will post shortly as well.
So stay tuned to the blog as I will again start posting more frequently. I will also be updating the artwork section of the website soon as well.
I hope you all had a splendid holiday season and are beginning what will be a wonderful new year.

The following weekend I will be back here in California for the San Bernardino Wildlife Expo the 21st and 22nd. I look forward to seeing many friends both collectors and artists, at each show.
